Tesco announces supply deal with Kerry Foods for launch of “Healthy Living” range
Tesco has announced a major supply deal with Kerry Foods, with the Irish firm producing 7 lines for the retailer’s new “Tesco Health Living” range, in a deal expected to be worth in the region of €3.6 million. A large proportion of the products produced by Kerry Foods in Carrickmacross, Co. Monaghan, will be exported to Tesco UK.
Whether you are on a diet or simply want to eat more healthily, “Tesco Healthy Living” has it covered, lovingly crafted by Tesco’s team of expert Nutritionists. The new meals contain no artificial colours, flavours or hydrogenated fat. The new packing also conveniently displays Weight Watchers ProPoints.
The new range offers two options: “Big on Taste, Lower in Calories”, which offers products with 30 per cent fewer calories than comparable products and is aimed at people trying to lose weight, and “Beautifully Balanced”, aimed at people wanting to make healthier choices.
Tesco’s Health and Wellbeing website offers customers support with their healthy living regimes, with lots of tasty recipe ideas and advice to help you make good food decisions. The website has devised a listing of ‘food baddies’ that are posing as healthy food options and there are a number of surprise entries such as olive oil, fruit juice, honey and granola.
